Pasifika language week celebrations

Each year the centre celebrates the Pasifika Language weeks that connect to the children's culture and identity.  This is a wonderful opportunity for fanau to contribute to their children's learning here at the centre and for us to connect to our wider Pasifika community.

positive pathways t0 school

Our aim is to prepare and support tamariki emotionally, socially, cognitively, and physically for school.  We aim to empower tamariki with a love of learning so that the transition from Kew Pacific Island Early Learning Centre to primary school is as smooth as possible. Kaiako provide many different learning experiences which guide tamariki in their eventual transition to school. Prior to attending primary school Kaiako encourage self-help skills, concentration span, and respect for Kaiako, self, peers, and equipment. As part of our transition to school programme Kaiako make every effort to visit the local primary schools, and new entrant Kaiako are encouraged to visit our centre. We encourage the partnership between our centre and schools.

Let children be children

We emphasise the fun and enjoyment of exploring and learning about plants and animals in a safe and happy environment.
